Driggs is the county seat of Teton County, Idaho, with a population of 1,100 at the 2000 census. It has been named one of the 10 best outdoor recreation destinations in the US.

RECREATION
Grand Targhee Ski Resort is well known and only 20 minutes from Driggs. Not only is the skiing great on the backside of the  Tetons, there are lots of activates in the summer at the mountain. The skiers like to buy property on or near Ski Hill Road, aptly named for the road that goes up to Targhee. It is very busy in both the winter and the summer.

In the summer, one can take plane or balloon rides over the Tetons, fish, take a jaunt to Yellowstone or Jackson, golf, hike, ride bikes or horses, and visit the beautiful places that are in eastern Idaho. The temperature in this area is generally in the 80’s in the summer, although occasionally it goes to the high 90’s. Winter temperatures are in the teens and 20’s with cold spells that can get to the single digits.

REAL ESTATE
The influx of people has kept the economy booming, and we have over 200 subdivisions and 98 proposed. There are subdivisions that are comprised of rather large lots, 10-20 acres, in outlying areas. Many of the subdivisions that are closer to town, are 2.5-5 acres. We have very large parcels for investment and many are in the view corridor for the Tetons. A lot of people want the view, it has become a much desired location. Farms and ranches have been in the view corridor for a long time and probably never though about the views being coveted by newcomers.

In this valley the prices of homes there are 272 homes for sale from $140,000 to a million, and 71 over a million. There area 139 lots for sale that are 5 acres or less and they run from $215,000 to $1,400,000.
32 properties range in acreage from 40 to 675, and range in price from $1,590,000 to $12,500,000.

DRIGGS' NEIGHBORS

Victor and Tetonia are our neighbors, Victor being 8 miles south of Driggs, and Tetonia being 7 miles north. Alta, WY is 7 mile east of Driggs and about half way to Targhee.

There are so many places you can drive to from Driggs. Aside from Jackson and Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, Henry’s Fork, Palisades Reservoir and many other beautiful places that could be a day ride.
